When people ask for a description of what kind of church this is, we have been known to say these descriptions…
- Non-denominational - not connected to a national denomination (not a franchised church)
- Full-Gospel - healing, deliverance, biblical events happen here
- Spirit-Filled - the Holy Spirit movement is openly welcome here
We are…
- Apostolic in doctrine - this means our teaching is based primarily upon that of the Apostles of Christ, rather than traditions of later church leaders.
- Pentecostal/charismatic in worship - this means we are expressive and joyful in worship. Clapping, singing and rejoicing are encouraged
- Evangelical in evangelism - we acknowledge our part in telling the world about the good news of Jesus Christ.
- Empowered evangelicals - this means we are open to the present movement of the Holy Spirit in our day that is effecting the whole range of believers.
WLCC stands firmly in the center of Biblical Christian teaching. Out of loyalty to Christ and the gospel, we have come to a number of convictions concerning the clear teaching of the Bible. At the same time, we have not included in our statement of faith much that can be debated by orthodox Christians. In other words, we have boundaries, but our boundaries are broad and inclusive. We believe wholeheartedly in the maxim:
“In essentials-Unity; In doubtful points-Liberty; In all things-Charity”
